Soarin

I have a thing for old and abandoned places, especially in the dark. They just have something to it. Something, something I cannot really describe. I think my favorite part in this picture is the lamp hanging down. I came up with that idea while sketching the background and thinking about where to add a light source. When I was almost done I had to make Soarin's eye glowing as well so the focus wouldn't just be on the lamp and Soarin wouldn't disappear in the background.

I need to draw backgrounds more often, they're actually really fun!
And Soarin too :0

Also I spend 4 days doing nothing else but working on this picture. You know aside from sleeping and eating and somewhat living life like an social human being.
